EMS has been servicing the Lowcountry and supporting local businesses. EMS was started in the Wappoo Business Park in West Ashley in 2001. Founded by Charles Koci, EMS of SC started its quest to help local business owners reduce the costs of accepting plastic. In 2007 EMS of SC moved their operations to St. Andrews Blvd. We moved from the Wappoo Business Park so that we could be more visible to the community. We wanted people to say “there’s EMS” and stop in. At that time, Mike and Brian Werner took the company over.

Through the years EMS always stayed true to Charlie’s philosophy which was “not to be the biggest, but be the best.” With that motto in mind, EMS of SC become “simply the best”.
